We kick of 2019 with our first Pioneer Hockey Podcast of the new year. This week, we sit down with Denver coach David Carle to assess this weekend’s opponent – the Wisconsin Badgers – and talk about the emerging depth on the team.

The most notable area thus far has been in net, where the Pioneers are proving to have two excellent options – sophomore Devin Cooley and freshman Filip Larsson. In addition, DU’s scoring depth is emerging, particularly in the form of the line of Colin Staub, Jaakko Heikkinen and Ryan Barrow.

We also tackled the topic of senior forward Jarid Lukosevicius, who continues to develop his game – and score clutch goals. With 17 game-winners, he not only leads DU’s all-time list, but he is No. 1 among active D-I players as well.
