One of the drivers of Denver’s offensive attack traditionally has been its defense, and this season is no exception. Over the summer the Pioneers received a gift of sorts when Les Lancaster, a three-time all-Atlantic Hockey defenseman from Mercyhurst graduated early and transferred to Denver.

Lancaster took time to talk about his transition and the reason why he chose Denver to pursue a graduate degree.

Also, coach David Carle checks in to discuss the beginning of the NCHC season and the matchup against Western Michigan.
